Q: How are you liking Browning so far?

A: I find my work at Browning to be quite enjoyable! Each day brings something new, making it a dynamic and engaging environment. I also learn something new each day from my students so every day is fun!

Q: What was your favorite subject as a kid?

A: When I was your age, my most loved subject was Biology or Life Science. It was so cool because I got to study living things, like plants, animals, and figure out how my own body works as a living thing too! In general, I'm excited about science because it allows me to explore new ideas, experiment, and analyze data to seek answers to my own inquiries and questions.

Q: Why did you become a teacher?

A: I really like learning, and that's why I became a teacher to help younger students on their learning adventures. When it comes to teaching, I'm most interested in helping students develop good habits and a positive mindset that can help them learn better.

Q: Can you tell me about yourself? (Generally)

A: My favorite color is red! My favorite genre is animated movies! I love going on culinary adventures to explore good eats!

Q: Why did you want to go to Browning? What sprouted this feeling?

A: I was drawn to Browning because I experienced how welcoming and inclusive the community it fosters. The values of Curiosity, Honesty, Dignity, and Purpose resonated with me as they exemplify the core principles that fuel community relationships, partnerships, and the pursuit of knowledge as an individual!

Q:How long have you been teaching for? Is this your first time?

A: This is not my first time teaching and I have been teaching for a long time. I will leave how long I have been teaching as a mystery!

Q: Who and/or what inspired you to be a teacher?

A:There wasn’t any direct inspiration to become a teacher. My story is that teaching found me more than I found teaching.

Q: What classes do you teach, and why?

A: Grade 5 Science, Grade 7 Life Science, and Grade 9 Biology - these are best aligned to my passion for life science and my skills as a science educator.
